RoHS (037/2016)

 TR EAEU 037/2016 “On the restriction of use of hazardous substances in electrical products and electronics”.

 It is one of four the most frequently applicable Technical regulations for electrical products in EAEU.

 This regulation is similar (regarding regulated substances) to Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

 The typical applicable way to conformity approval in EAEU is DoC only.

The electrical product categories covered by RoHS (037/2016) Regulation:

  • most of household appliances (ask us details)
  • IT and telecommunications equipment
  • copiers and other office equipment
  • electrical and electronic tools
  • lighting equipment
  • musical instruments
  • gaming/vending machines
  • ATM and similar equipment
  • cables/cords up to 500V
  • GFI/RCD/ ALCI and similar
  • fire/security alarm systems

 RoHS (037/2016) Regulation doesn’t apply to:

  • products with more than 1000 V AC and 1500 V DC
  • some types of end-product components*
  • electrical toys
  • photovoltaic panels intended to be used in a system to produce energy from solar light
  • equipment designed to be sent into space;
  • means of transport for persons or goods
  • batteries
  • second-hand products
  • measuring devices
  • medical devices
