MACHINERY PRODUCTS

There is a unified technical regulation throughout the territory of the Customs Union, which forms the requirements for the design, manufacture and operation of machinery and equipment. Only after passing the mandatory procedure for assessing the safety of manufactured products, manufacturing plants and other legal entities can obtain the right to label their products with the unified mark of conformity EAC-mark for further sale on the EAEU market.

The main document governing the regulatory requirements for the manufacture and release of these products is Machinery Regulation (CU TR 010/2011). According to the information of the Technical Regulations, a conformity certification procedure can be carried out for specific categories of machinery and equipment, as well as quality and safety checks in the form of a declaration of conformity.

Typical technical regulations which may be also applicable to Machinery products in the Customs Union (EAEU) are EMC (CU TR 020/2011), RoHS (TR EAEU 037/2016), Ex-PROOF (CU TR 012/2011).

Starting from September of 2023 (preliminary date), the new EAEU TR 048/2019 “On energy efficiency …” will come into force. It will be applicable for some kinds of Machinery products.
