HAZLOC

In EAEU understanding, the hazardous locations are places where explosion or fire hazards may exist. The sources of such possible hazards are dust, fibers, vapors and gases which are combustible or flammable. Any electrical products installed in these locations could provide an ignition source due to temperature or electrical arcing. Standards and regulations exist to identify such locations, classify the hazards, and design equipment for safe use in such locations.

In EAEU the main Technical regulation applicable to Hazloc products is CU TR 012/2011.

It is important to know that electrical Ex-proof equipment is not subject to LVE (CU TR 004/2011).

Additionally to CoC for CU TR 012/2011, the follow Technical regulations may be applicable to electrical Ex-proof equipment: EMC (CU TR 020/2011), Machinery (CU TR 010/2011) and PED (CU TR 032/2013).
