Conformity approval, whether it is mandatory or voluntary, is carried out only by product certification bodies accredited in accordance with SM SR EN ISO / IEC 17065: 2013. As an example, the assessment of telecom/radio products is carried out by testing laboratory and certification body of “Serviciul Național de Management al Frecvențelor Radio”. The result of this procedure is Certificate of conformity.

  Products subject to conformity approval in a regulated area, before being placed on the market, should be marked by the conformity mark SM (Standard Moldova), if the regulatory act provides for such marking. Marking the product with the SM mark of conformity indicates its compliance with the basic requirements established by regulatory documents. The SM mark is used only by the manufacturer or his authorized representative in accordance with the rules established by the Law 235/2011. The use of SM conformity mark on products that have not been subjected to conformity assessment procedures in the proper manner or do not meet the requirements established in regulatory documents, is prohibited.
