The lists of products have not changed significantly: batteries and accumulators, household utensils and cutlery still require a National DoC valid for up to 3 years. Heating radiators, air filters for air conditioners and heating pipes still require a National CoC… It is just a brief sample of product types subject of National Russian conformity approval system in accordance with Decree N 2425 (the total number of pages in the document is more than 500).

 It should be noted that significant changes have taken place in the structure of the lists and approaches to conformity assessment. Now the lists explicitly contain standards for product requirements and test methods (Government Decree No. 982 contained only the name of the product and its classification code). In addition, if before September 1, 2022 it was possible, for example, to obtain a declaration of conformity for batteries and accumulators based on the manufacturer’s ISO 9001 certificate, now testing in a national accredited laboratory is a prerequisite. For this reason, the lead time, sample requirements and cost of such work has increased dramatically.
