LVE (004/2011)

TR CU 004/2011 “On safety of low-voltage equipment”.

It is one of four the most frequently applicable Technical regulations for electrical products in EAEU.

This regulation is very close to LVD – Directive 2014/35/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 February 2014 on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits.

LVE Regulation covers health and safety risks on electrical equipment operating with an input or output voltage of between 50 and 1000 V for AC, and 75 and 1500 V for DC.

It is applicable for a wide range of electrical equipment for both consumer and professional usage, such as cables, household appliances, lamps, PSUs, electrical tools etc.

Medical products, Ex-proof equipment, some electrical equipment for elevators, electrical equipment for defense purposes, electrical equipment intended for use in air, water, land and underground transport, products that are subjects of TR CU 010/2011 and some others are out of scope of this Technical regulation.
