WORKSHOP ON REDUCING THE COSTS OF NTMS IN NORTH AND CENTRAL ASIA

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in collaboration with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), International Trade Centre (ITC) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), was organizing a workshop on Reducing the Costs of Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs) in North and Central Asia, 11 October 2018, in Geneva, Switzerland. The workshop was held as a side event during the NTM Week 2018 hosted by UNCTAD on 9-11 October. NTM Week 2018 provided a platform for policymakers, practitioners and researchers to discuss cutting-edge issues surrounding the impact of NTMs, including voluntary sustainability standards (VSS), on international trade and sustainable development.

The representative of Agency “Tajikstandard” Muhayyoi Rahimzoda took part in this workshop and presented key positions of Tajikistan on NTM.
